Assignment 6: The Most Important Thing In Life

The most important thing in our life is 'love'. Love means to love not only yourself but also others. Some people might claim that other things are more important than that. They might give examples like money or family. However love is the most important thing in my opinion because of the following reason.

The reason is that love is the root of everything in our life. To love yourself and others means to take good care of yourself and others in both mentally and physically. In other words, love is closely related with one's health. Staying healthy enables you to do whatever you want.

However, these days, our life goes so fast and some people tend to forget that love is the most important thing. That's the reason why we have crimes, stavation or war anywhere in this world right now. Love makes anything possible and brings peaceful world. Therefore, love yourself, family, partner, friends, coworkers, customers, a passer-by and even the person who is spiteful to you. Love is the key for everthing.

ASSIGNMENT 8: The Advantages of Living on Saipan

Are you satisfied with a life-style you have now? If you feel tired of it, you should try to live on Saipan. That will surely promise you to give you pleasant time because of the following three main reasons.

The first is wonderful nature of the island. When you drive on the beach road, you can enjoy seeing the ocean colored with emerald green. You can also feel the comfortable air from the beach. When you walk around, you can see various kinds of beautiful flowers or interesting creatures. If you live in a big city, it's hard to feel nature and to enjoy it.

The second is good climate of the island. There is no cold seasons on Saipan through a whole year. You can go to the beach and swim whenever you want. In addition to that, compared with in the place with cold seasons, it's much difficult to get sick because the tropical climate prevent it. This is proven by recent scientific research.

The third is friendly people living on Saipan. They often greet even strangers. You must feel comfortable if people around you give you a hearty welcome by kissing you, hagging you or shaking hands. If you live in a big city, it's rare that strangers greet each other. Generally speaking, people live in a big city are so busy that they don't have enough time to care about strangers around them. On the other hand, people live on Saipan have a tendency to care about anybody around them. You can have pleasant feelings that you are blessed by them.

Finally, I can conclude that living on Saipan is just amazing because of three main reasons I stated. Living on Saipan makes you much happier than living in a big city. You should try it one time.

Assignment 7: Crash

One day, I was practicing to drive a car to get a driver's license. At that time, I was seated at the driver's seat and my boyfriend was next to me. I've already had an adequate driving skill at that time because I had spent much time for practicing since then.

While we enjoyed driving around, suddenly another car ran into my car from behind. We were so shocked because the impact was so huge. The accident was not our fault at all. Suddenly,
a green pick up truck passed us by 0n the uphill slope with great force. At that moment, we tried to park my car on the side of the road though we were trembling with fear. We thought the truck would stop right away because they had caused the accident. However, they ran away at a terrific speed and disappeared. We were so stunned by what happened just infront of us that our mind went blank.

After they ran away, we went back to a shop where we rent the car. We called a police officer and explained the crash we had. He listened to us and made an official report based on our story. We tried to let him know that the accident has occured because of the oncoming car. However we couldn't show any clear evidence for that at that moment. We were so upset that we couldn't even memorize the numbers on the plate of the car that hit us. The only things we were able to explain were the place the accident had occured, the colore and the type of the car.

At last, we paid the damage of the car we had rented even though it's terribly ridiculous. The police officer promised us to keep chasing the criminal who hit us. However, it has passed over a half year since the accident, the police still cannnot find out who the person was. I want to declare the death penalty for the person. Hahaha... I'm just kidding...

Assignment 5: How You Feel at the Beach

Now you lay yourself down on a reclining chair at the beach. Fresh air go through and only sounds of the ocean reach your ear. When you look up the sky, you can see some clouds like soft cotton candy are moving in the clear light blue sky. You forget about every tiny thing you're worried about and now there is nothing to bother your mind. It seems like that crowds in your mind go up to the sky. You just feel so relaxed that you might fall asleep soon.

Assignent 3: Japanese Cluture

Today, I would like to introduce one of Japanese culture, 'Hanami'. In English dictionary, there're no words as 'Hanami' because it's peculiar to Japan. We can defind it as 'cherry-blossom viewing'. However, that definition is still not adequate to explain the culture. Therefore, I will explain what the culture is more in detail.

Usually, from the late March through April, it's the season of 'Sakura', cherry blossoms. The cherry blossoms are full in a few days. When the cherry blossoms are at their best, we view them in mountains or in the park. Many of us get together under the blossoms and enjoy not only viewing but also eating and drinking.

The literal meaning of ''cherry-blossom viewing' is just to enjoy nice view by seeing them. However, for us, Japanese, it often means more than that. Most of the time, it means to have a party under blossoms. Everyone loves to have 'Hanami' in Spring season. That is one of the best culture in Japan.

Assignment 2: "The True Meaning of Love"

According to Oxford Electric Diictionary, the difinition of love is a strong feeling of deep affection for somebody or something, especially a member of your family or a friend. However it's not adequate to explain it. Therefore I would like to explain what the true meaning of love is.

In my opinion, that is to value somebody same as you or more than that. Now, I'd like to explain the essential key to keep love somebody. That is to accept how he or she is and keep relationship by working as a team. This key applies to every kinds of relationship.

There are no perfect human beings in this world. So, it's hard for us to act always right. We might get mad because of small things, forget something, be late and so on... We often have to face undesirable situations far from our expectations. This following story is based on my actual experience and a good illustration of true love. One day, me and family members went ice cream shop after dinner. In the shop, at the moment we just tried to order, somebody who came later than us ordered earlier than us. My father was a person who really value keeping order. So, suddenly he freaked out and started to complain about it to the person who ordered ealier than us and the dipper. At last, he shouted out 'I don't want ice cream anymore. I'll go home.' and he went out the shop. Rest of family members, including me, in the shop felt ashamed of his attitude. We apologized the person who ordered earlier than us and the dipper. We were disappointed about that but we managed to handle the situation calmly. He was a person who expected that everybody should treat him good. There was room for understanding his feelings but his attitude was obviously not right. So, I explained to him as his oldest daughter that he could had acted better way. I also said to him, 'Dad, you don't have to get mad about something not worth bothering you.' He and the rest of family members just listend to me and these kinds of stupid things never happened again.

This is the one of good example of true love. One of family members had mistake and he embarrased us in public. However, we still accepted how he was and just asked him to adjust his attitude to right way for him and us because we really loved him. Everyone has both of good sides and bad sides. We should understand as the person is. In concluion, it's important to keep our mind that to maintain to love somebody has the key. Accept how he or she is and keep relationaship byworking as a team.
